As part of our commitment to provide an affordable and quality Tavern experience to the community, the Tavern offers only premium brand spirits for the enjoyment of our patrons.

And don't forget we still have a varied selection of premium lagers, ales, and wine.

Philosophy on Spirits
Unlike many establishments, the Tavern has no 'well' drinks, meaning no cheap, generic liquor for mixed drinks, only premium brands.  So if you order a whiskey and coke, you'll be served a Jack Daniels and Coke (or comparable premium whiskey).  Of course, if you'd like a particular premium brand for any of your cocktails, simply request if from our bartenders while ordering.

The reasoning behind no 'well' drinks is two fold. 

First, the Tavern is NOT a place to get smashed and out-of-control, but a gathering place for the community, so affordable, quality, premium spirits add to the overall atmosphere and experience at the Tavern while providing the best quality of affordable product. 

Second, premium spirits are better distilled and filtered which not only means better taste, but less detrimental effects to our patrons' constitutions (reducing the possibility of 'hang-over' symptoms resulting from impurities in the spirits). 

In short, serving quality spirits provides for a relaxiing social environment, enhanced enjoyment of the spirits, as well as less detrimental impact for our patrons.
